Afro Australia Music and Movie Awards (AAMMA) was established to celebrate and honor African Australians within the entertainment industry.

Afro Australia Music and Movie Awards (AAMMA) was established in 2007 by Scrim Entertainment to celebrate African Australians in the music, movies, fashion and other fields of the entertainment industry. The aim is to promote artists within the African Australian population to the wider community whilst recognizing the contribution of other cultures, connecting and marketing Australia’s multiculturalism.

The awards are presented annually at various venues across the Sydney suburbs such as Enmore Theatre and Parramatta Leagues Club, honoring national and international African artists who have made an impact within the entertainment industry through performance or positive contributions. Artists who have won awards and performed at the AAMMA are Killa Qweenz, Mike Champion, K1, Rodney Ahenkan, Edique Omokaro, Awilo Longomba, Tuface Idibia, Monalisa Chinda, Ejike Asiegbu, Emmerson Bockarie, Jimmy Bangura, Pascal Atuma, John Dumelo and Desmond Elliot.
